    Short Stack is owned by Healani and Tanya who started this company in 2015. Short Stack started off as a children's brand where these moms decided to create fun and original Hawai'i lifestyle clothing for their kids. Over a few years, the brand eventually produced adult size clothing that has now grown into inspirational and aloha based apparel for the entire family.

    Short Stack produces 80% of their products in-house and outsources their remaining goods to local and international businesses which they have built one-of-a-kind relationships with. They are all about making connections with all kinds of people around the world. ALL their goods come through their shop and is packaged and appreciated with a lot of ALOHA energy.

    Kākoʻo Hawaiʻi MM24 Booth Location : #19

    Misha Mendosa was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She studied Fine Art at the University of Southern California and then continued on to Parson’s the New School of Design to get her second degree in Fashion Design. After working in the fashion world in New York City for six years she packed a bag and traveled around the world looking for inspiration. She visited Japan, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Greece, and Italy. After her travels, she returned to Hawaii where she launched Misha Hawaii in 2011.

    Upon her return to Hawai'i, she reconnected with Hawai'i and fell in love with free diving and collection shells. This led her to create her first shell bangle. Jewelry making started as a hobby and she began making jewelry for friends and family. Her shell-inspired designs are where her journey began.

    FLASH FORWARD 10 YEARS LATER - Misha Hawai'i is a full line of elevated Island Inspired Jewelry for the modern mermaid. The line includes fine jewelry, exotic pearl strands and one of a kind rare pearls. From the ocean to the mountains, Hawai'i is a tropical paradise which is a constant source of inspiration for Misha. She works in her studio/showroom located in Honolulu, Hawaii.     We are a beekeeping ʻohana on a mission to save honey bees. We produce a variety of healing Hoʻōla honey & natural products from Kohala, Hawaiʻi to nourish our lāhui. I do all of this to support my long and short terms goals on my journey to black belt. I train daily at Alameda Jiu Jitsu and love traveling to compete under the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation. This year I plan to again defend my current gold medals and make my family and friends proud.     Introducing Kea Peters, the wahine behind Kākou Collective.

    Hailing from ʻEwa Beach, Oʻahu, Kea's creative journey began at Kamehameha Schools Kapālama in 2007, instilling in her the significance of community and the perpetuation of Hawaiian culture.

    In 2019, a transformative moment in motherhood spurred Kea to transform her graphic design studio into a creative haven, birthing hand-made planner products incorporating her original artwork. Following a successful debut at a Planner Convention in San Francisco in March 2020, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Kea's creative influence flourished. Leveraging Instagram during quarantine, she taught her community how to illustrate native plants and plants with cultural significance, breaking the barriers of accessibility.

    Hand in hand with her ʻohana, Kea has meticulously shaped Kākou Collective into a brand authentically perpetuating Hawaiʻi's story through high-quality, meticulously crafted products with her original artwork. Since 2020, Kea has continued her transformative journey as a devoted visual storyteller, consistently unveiling new products that intricately weave the captivating narrative of Hawaiʻi's cultural heritage, hoping to inspire future generations to honor, perpetuate, and elevate Hawaiian Culture, and the rich local culture of Hawaiʻi.

    Kahua ʻĀina is a company deeply rooted in the care for ʻāina and in order to care for something, you must first fully know what it is. ʻĀina is the place in which you find nourishment. ʻAi (food) + nā (many) equals to the many foods or the many different forms of food. When we normally think of ʻāina, we tend to only think of the physical aspect of the word, “land and food”. But in actuality, ʻāina encompasses all types of ʻai. Physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological-so as a company, we needed to make sure that our Kahua (foundation) be made secure in all aspects of ʻāina.

    Fabienne Dumlao is the owner, designer and self-taught craftsman behind Kuiki. A local jewelry brand based on Oʻahu. Everything started a few years back with some shells which she found during her dives around the island. To reflect the beauty of the Hawaiian islands, she began to create jewelry only for friends, family and herself. Although, it later became more than just a hobby. She opened her first website on Etsy and joined her first pop-up markets. Since then, the Kuiki brand has been thriving. She is thankful for the support of the many people in her life, as well as all her customers and followers. Now, she is honored to be able to be a part of the Kakoʻo Hawaiʻi Merrie Monarch 2024.     Aloha my name is Amber King I’m a second generation weaver from the island of Maui. I was born and raised on Maui with ulana lauhala all around me all the time. My parents were my Kumu’s who learned from ‘Anakē Hilda Ānuenue. I’m so grateful to have this Mana’o ingrained into me from such a young age. I started this business about six years ago. My main focus was to create timeless lauhala pieces that every girl, woman and man would want to wear. I incorporated 14k gold fill, sterling silver and pearls into most of my collections to make them have that little extra pop! I will be bringing back some of our original designs for this event along side my newest collection designs.     Designer Jessica Wong, started out cutting, sewing, finishing, tagging and shipping each garment that was sold; over the years Kamea has grown, which has lead her to get help from their manufactures. Today she personally creates custom orders and sews limited handmade collections. Sewing and designing is her therapy! It allows her to be creative and to share a piece of her with all of you. Being a wife and mother, will always be her top priority, but she is thankful for the time God gives her to express herself through Kamea Designs.     We recently changed our name to "Island Style Birria" (formerly Melange Hawaii) because it embodies our style better. We offer a creative and local spin on traditional Birria by making it with pork instead of more goat or beef. We also have an interesting line of tropical fruit hot sauces that we make from locally grown fruits and peppers. We will also be featuring a Sumo Bowl - which is a combination of a ramen bowl with a two crispy birria tacos to dip!
